Does anyone know what effect all that atmospheric nuclear teating we did in the 50's and 60's had on nature? Where are these studies?

As for global warming, it is still too cold. As for nuclear testing, it would have made it colder, not as much as volcanoes.

I think the headline should have been: 'Global Warming No Different Than 9th Centuary!' Obviously the earth goes through warming and cooling cycles. This period of warming will probably be followed by global cooling, as has happened in the past.

Well, measures to stop global warming will help if ther is a problem. But I don't think we're in danger of being drowned by rising oceans YET.

People are idiots. the evidence of a terrible change is right before their eyes and they make any excuse to avoid dealing with it. it is almost incomprehensible. we deserve what is coming.

Hey, lighten up all you doom sayers. I am buying beach front property in Greenland and farmland in the Yukon territory. The Vikings had it right to begin with, just a little ahead of their time.

What would be of greater importance would be the Question: At what rate are we warming as compared to the previous warming period? Are we were warming any faster or are we comparable?

Those of you old enough will remember the very same types of people were saying the next ice age is coming in the 70s.

The important question is, are you too hot or are you too cold. Deserts are the hottest places on earth and become paradises with water. The coldest places are dead and have plenty of water.

it's obvious that there is climat change . Anyone who says other wise is not looking at the facts . i live in winnipeg ( canada) and in the winter here its normally -25 degrees celsius and begins to snow is late oct. this year however it did not begin to snow till dec. and when it did start to snow it was warm outside for ex -5 degrees and it remained a warm temp. till mid jan. when it began cooler -15 degrees which is still warm for winnipeg . The red river has not stayed frozen during this time . maybe that doesn't sounds strange to u but i've lived here for 16 years and i know when something in the climat has changed and there is no better example then this. again why do u think there has been so many weather conditions in the states? from the new orleans disater, the tsunami, hurricanes? some one above was saying that that its normal for the weather to heat up and cool off ... yes but to what extent?my cousin who lives in chiliwack (canada, bc) said it was raining for over 2 weeks straight .if the ice in that artic and the ice abvoe mountains starts to melt because of the rising temperture it will create a flood (and just like everything that goes up must come down ) the temp. will get colder and freeze the water that has flooded the surrounding and once again create a ice age

it is normal for temp. to change but not this dramtically . change is not always good . i think we need to get our act to get and begin thinking of way to make it work because we can all make a difference the only thing is some has to start. its easy to say u needto change but will u?
