Boy someone is playing tricks here. First off hardwood clubs are used to club seal not boat hooks, secondly where did these pictures come from, no activists were in the area of the seal hunt this year and I don't believe any seals were killed yet. Something smells funny here

I think this is cruel and in humane practice for fur trade.
Humamity must respect life in any level. Killing the infant animals
made and act like wild animals.

I just heard three sealers are dead and one missing from a capsized boat. This is carma at its finest. I'll go toe to toe with any of these red-neck Canadians...

I am SO happy that four men have died, I hope their familes are devistated.

I hope the four men had a grusome, painful slow death. These poor helpless animals are not even dead, they suffer for hours.

I am over the moon, that four men have died and that the fleet lost a boat.

And as for 'we be clubbin' who said; Shocking , fantastic photos i particularly like the one where the other seal is watching the other seal get the club to the head and didnt run.

You are one SICK and vile individual. I hope you have tragic accident, or may one of your family members have a tragic car accident. You are SICK...

But hip hip hooray for the four dead men... Fabulous news

It is karmic retribution that four men lost their lives! They should all meet the same fate. It would still not atone for the millions of baby seals they have killed and, in many instances, skinned alive. By the way, these vicious sealers use whatever they have at hand to club the seals -- from a hakapik to a golf club to their own foot. They particularly enjoy kicking the seal in the face first, as it always elicits a round of laughter from their drunken buddies!

Wow, how compassionate, animal lovers. How do dead humans make dead seals better? Over the moon? Hope their families are devastated? BTW, ignorant ones...there is no i in devastated, there's only one m in humanity. Jerks killing seals, jerks judging seal killers, jerks all around.

~Sigh~ Here we go again. As a dedicated Canadian environmentalist and activit, I have to shake my head every time the seal hunt / global cry fest starts up every spring. As long as this harvest is done sustainably and wisely, which it appears to be, this is at worst as bad as any of a dozen animal killing industries we all live with. At best, it's a far more humane, culturally important, and community-based harvest than most farms offer.

The captions are rediculous as well. As IF these professional hunters lost all of those seals as stated. What a lie. I'm surprised the caption for the scavanging seagull didn't say 'seagull sheds a tear for the cruelty of mankind'.

Why doesn't the animal rights industry just hand over a fraction of the money they raise on this issue every year straight to the hunters to not hunt? Oh yeah... because they'd lose all that sweet, sweet cash.

This is a yearly tragedy, it is one of the most graphic displays of animal cruelty that we have. But, this must be said here... the fact that four humans died is not karma, it is sad. To not have sympathy for people who have been conditioned out of not caring is to miss the whole point.

The four people who died were not bad people. They were people who were not raised to give a darn about the ethics involved in killing of seals. Clubbing wild animals in front of their friends is a horrible thing, so horrible in fact that those doing it are lost souls. If you mock their deaths and wish devastation upon their loved ones, you are no better than they.

May the clubbing of seals stop, and also let their be more understanding of our fellow man.

If all these baby seals were allowed to live, they'd devastate the fisheries and then fishermen's families would suffer.

Did you know that in spite of killing 300,000 seals annually, the seal population has STILL increased three-thousandfold?

So who's more important -- baby seals or baby humans?
